Every single day I am inundated with Christian advertising. Billboards “from God”, church signs, Bible verse calendars at work, Christian tee shirts, fast food wrappers, Bibles in waiting rooms, church commercials on the radio, obnoxious religio-political tracts left on my car windshield at home (I live next to a Catholic military school.)… but god forbid a Christian ever has to glance at something he disagrees with for a moment while driving. Every month there’s at least one, usually five, atheist billboards and bus ads getting taken down or vandalized because Christians simply cannot share public space with anyone who disagrees with them. Grow the fuck up, Christianity! You’re 1,687 years old! Start acting like it!

Christianity is older than 1,687 years. It seems understandable that people would be offended by the line ‘reason is a virtue’ with faith crossed out as if they’re mutually exclusive. It’s an attack on religious people themselves, rather than an attack on any deity. It is implying that there is no such thing as a reasonable person that has faith, and that by applying reason, we will all become atheist. It’s also not a argument based on reason, so… kind of a contradiction in terms.

God forbid someone feel offended when they’re being insulted.
